Kate Wood

Artists are born, but technique is learned.

Kate Wood has instructed beginning, intermediate and advanced students for twenty-five years – with hundreds of thankful students. She specializes in Great Masters’ techniques, including realistic lighting and shading; brush finesse; the grid method; advanced color mixing; and more. She’s proficient in oils, acrylics, and watercolors.

Kate is a hands-on instructor, but her students work at their own pace and paint their own subjects. Kate is also a master art conservator at Alchemy Fine Art Restorers, as well as the proud friend of an art-loving Yorkshire Terrier named Finnegan.
